When I first started my Wedding Photography Studio, 12 years ago, I really struggled with the desire to shoot hi-end weddings and build my details portfolio, but not necessarily having the means to do so as i was brand new to Wedding photography.   I'm a little obsessed with all the thoughtful little details that are poured into these special events and I wanted to attract brides who liked the same thing.  So, I learned to photograph the limited details I was given, in a way that made them seem more elaborate than they really were.  I pulled tips and tricks from my previous life as a commercial photographer, including stylizing & lighting, that helped me maximize every little detail.  This helped me book the kind of weddings and clients that I was most attracted to.  I will teach you all my secrets to getting the best detail images from your very own weddings, which will help you book the kind of events you've dreamed of!

This 5-hour workshop will include classroom instruction and hands-on shooting where you get to observe and participate with Melissa in her shooting process.  All the Creatives in attendance will get to venture  4-blocks down the street to the very cool event Rental studio, UltraPom.  {hive-workshops} has teamed up with UltraPom, Vintage Plate Company and the ladies over at Good Earth Floral Design and created a DETAIL DREAM where we will get to photograph all kinds of beautiful wedding details.  During certain portions of the workshop those who are more advanced and want to shoot some on their own, with Melissa's assistance nearby, will bee able to branch out a bit and come to her for help as needed.  Those who are still learning and want to stick right next to Melissa to watch her shoot can stay with her for more individualized training.  We will then return to {hive-workshops} and review our images and talk on how to improve.
